Safety and support
Recovery is about more than finding safety, it’s about rebuilding confidence and independence. We provide trauma-informed emotional support, personalized action plans, welfare checks, advocacy with statutory agencies, access to counseling and mental health services, employment and education guidance, and ongoing practical assistance. By working closely with our partners, we help survivors and their children recover from trauma, regain stability and build a safer future within their communities
McKenzie Friend Services
We believe everyone should have access to justice, regardless of their financial circumstances. Our experienced McKenzie Friend service provides practical support throughout Family Court proceedings, including assistance with Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, Child Arrangements, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders, divorce and financial remedy proceedings. We assist clients with preparing court documents, organizing evidence, understanding court procedures and providing support during hearings where appropriate.
Refuge
Aasra Welfare CIC provides confidential emergency refuge accommodation for women and children escaping domestic abuse and other forms of violence. Our refuge offers a safe and supportive environment where residents receive personalized support, safeguarding, welfare checks, housing assistance, benefits advice, emotional support and help accessing healthcare, education and legal services, enabling them to rebuild their lives safely.
Specialist Support for NRPF Survivors
We prioritise assisting survivors of domestic abuse with insecure immigration status or No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), working closely with specialist immigration solicitors and statutory agencies to help people access safety and appropriate support.
Working with Government and Public Sector Partners
Aasra Welfare CIC works collaboratively with local authorities, statutory agencies and partner organizations to improve safeguarding, raise awareness and support survivors of domestic abuse. We have also hosted safeguarding and immigration awareness events in partnership with the Home Office to promote knowledge, community engagement and access to support services.
Home Office Awareness Seminar
Aasra Welfare CIC has proudly hosted in partnership with the Home Office to deliver community awareness events focusing on safeguarding, immigration and support services available to vulnerable individuals.
These events bring together professionals, community organizations and legal experts to share knowledge, strengthen partnership working and improve access to support for those most in need.
